Jamie Jefferson asked:

Your home office printer is going to be an important part of your home business. While making the right choice of printer seems like a daunting task, your major decision is going to be between an ink jet and a laser printer. Along with a different way of delivering ink to the page, these two types of printers have their own benefits and drawbacks.

The key difference between the two printers is the type of ink that they use. Ink jet printers use liquid ink and laser printers use powdered ink. Laser printers come in two varieties, monochrome (black and white) and color. Each type of printer serves different purposes.

Most businesses use monochrome laser printers because they print a lot of black and white documents. If you’re using your printer for the same reason, you may want to consider a monochrome laser printer. They have a better page output than ink jets and come at a midrange price. They are normally priced higher than ink jets, but their ink refills cost a lot less. Monochrome laser printers are perfect if you need to print lots of pages of text. The only drawback to this type of printer is that you can’t print color.

If you need any color printing done, an ink jet printer will be your least inexpensive option, at least in terms of initial cost outlay. Ink jets offer a lot power for their speed, but they are definitely slower than laser printers. The main advantage is their price and their portability. Compared to laser jet models, ink jets are very lightweight and are generally smaller. This makes them a good option if you don’t have a whole lot of space for your printer.

The major drawback to ink jet printers is the cost of their ink. Compared to laser printers, refills for ink jets cost substantially more. Even though you’re saving more at the onset, you’ll be paying a lot in the long run. The price of ink over the life of your printer can be a deterrent to getting an ink jet. But if your budget for your printer at the outset is small, then an ink jet might be your only option. They are generally cheaper than laser printers.

When it comes to quality of printing, speed of printing and overall quality, color laser printers are the best choice. All of this comes at a higher price than you’ll pay for an ink jet printer or monochrome laser printer, but it may be worth it if you need to print high quality documents. A color laser printer has ink that is relatively inexpensive compared to ink jet ink. In addition, a color laser printer will allow you to print high quality photos along with black and white documents. This can save you money on having your pictures printed, and allow you to print as many copies as you need.

Depending on the kind of business you’re in, the quality that you get from a color laser printer may well be worth the initial cost. If you have the money to spend, a color laser printer is your best bet. But if you’d rather keep those initial costs low and print color, then an ink jet printer might be the better way to go.

Philip Tsang asked:

Why bother going through the effort and mess of refilling inkjet cartridges with inkjet printer refill kits when you can just buy a brand new cartridge? Well for one, it costs a whole lot cheaper. Buying new cartridges are ridiculously expensive, what’s more used cartridges get binned, which means more waste.

Inkjet printer refills seem to get a mixed bag of opinions, while some people swear by them; others refuse to use them at gunpoint. The reoccurring problems that some of these anti-printer refill kit user’s claim are that they cause printer failure, clogging of the nozzles, leakages, not to mention poor print quality and short life spans.

The answer to this two sided argument is that in most cases where the results of printing have been poor, the user has failed to follow the instructions carefully on the printer refill kit manual. We all do it, whether it’s setting up a DVD player, a flat-pack desk or tuning a brand new television; we all like to think that we can just do it without the manual. Hours of tinkering later, we admit defeat and turn to the manual, realizing that the job could have taken a lot less longer. Worse still we mess it up beyond repair, beyond help of the manual.

A common error in refilling inkjet cartridges is covering the air holes. With some models air is required to enter the vents to fill the void when ink is being dispensed. If the hole is sealed then the printer cartridge will fail to work properly and cause undesired results.

If you fail to read the manual you may also mistakenly push the needle far back into the cartridge. When the ink is pumped in, air pressure is created, this prevents air from escaping and ink entering. The outcome is a messy cartridge and a wasted printer refill kit.

Avoid leaving the job of refilling the inkjet cartridge until it’s almost fresh out of ink. This can spell real disaster. In most cases the ink will gel and require several cycles of cleaning to get the inkjet head clean and ready to use. This reduces efficiency, meaning you’ll waste more ink.

Another mistake to avoid is over soaking your cartridge in water when cleaning the jets. This will cause your ink to run and produce inconsistency when printing. You may see a faded effect in your color printing and reduced quality.

In reality refilling inkjet cartridges is easy when you follow the manual, however most of us prefer to do things our way before we resort to the obvious. So next time you get yourself a printer refill kit read the manual first!

James asked:

Working with your computer, whether at home or at the office has become an essential part of our daily lives today. Your output greatly depends upon the hard copy that you produce. Most of the hard copy would require printing. So you have great brands such as HP, Canon and Epson. There is no question about quality in these products. But then what if, suddenly in the middle of a printing job you run out of printer ink? You can always buy the original ink cartridges and continue with no sweat, or you can shed a different perspective by thinking about your savings, if you consider getting printer ink refills which are compatible and cheap at the same time.

One of the things that is making you hesitant, with the idea of refills are those hearsays that pronounce the destruction of your printer, if you choose refill than to buy new ink cartridges. It is not a question about destruction or low quality, its more on acquiring the right products and going to the right place. You can do the refilling if you want or you can let someone else do it for you. At InkCloners.com, they offer ink cartridges and ink refills for you to choose from. They do not in any way sacrifice quality over savings, they maybe cheap with big discounts but guaranteed with high quality.

Think of it as if you are buying high quality drugs in generic prices. You are also doing a great favor to the environment by engaging into a subconscious recycling scheme through refills and compatible products. Considering InkCloners.com around, there is no doubt that your ink refill and toner needs are right at the tip of your fingertips. It is the best way to discover and choose on the wide range of compatibles, ink refills, ink jet cartridges, color toner and a whole lot of cheap clones with big discounts.

With this information in mind, running out of printer ink will never be a hassle any longer because you are assured of what to do and where to go. It is about time that you consider the alternatives on printer ink to max out big savings without losing quality on the process. Produce only the best output at home and at work and be happy about it with less worry and frustration.
